Hi. I decided to start this blog as a way to track my continued foray into the wonderful world of delicious vegetarian and vegan food. I moved to London a year ago with my husband, but, unfortunately, I haven’t been here that much because of work travel. I am a contemporary dancer and rehearsals, performances, conferences, etc. take me here, there, and everywhere. I have promised myself (and my husband) that I will start to settle into my life here in London and make it my new home. This blog is part of that commitment.

My husband and I love to cook. In fact, part of our wedding ceremony included a baking ceremony of sorts. We both believe food is an extremely important part of creating and engaging with community and life. We also believe deeply in humane and ethical treatment for non-human animals. I have been a vegetarian since I was 9 and my husband has been one for the past 9 years, vegan for the past two (I am mostly vegan). I want to expand my cooking repertoire and find ways to make vegan food that is nourishing, exciting, and tasty. To be honest, I would like to become entirely vegan as well. Right now it is difficult because of travel and the demands I put on my body, but I hope to change that soon. Other than that, I just love making food for folks.
